Tinseau to build the ideal trackday toy?
According to his own website, french racing driver Christophe Tinseau is developing the ideal trackday car.
He's saying that beside cars like the Porsche GT3, Ferrari Scuderia, Lotus, etc, the choice is very limited. His project's main objectives are to limit both maintenance costs and buying price, while still offering excellent performance. The only solution is therefore to develop a car based on a tubular chassis and to give it a GT silhouette.

The project's criteria are:
- middle-rear engine, V8 LS3 with 436 hp (yes, the Corvette C6 engine)
- around 1'000 kg (2'200 lb)
- tubular frame (following annex J of the FFSA)
- 6-speed paddle-shift gearbox
- LCD dashboard displaying speed, gear, rpm, etc
- butterfly doors
- ground-effect generating body (front spoiler, rear wing, diffusers)
- crash boxes in the front and sides
More details are supposed to be released in June. We'll stay tuned!
